Engagement Session
Your engagement session is so much more than just photos. It’s a chance for us to connect, get comfortable together, and capture your relationship in a real, effortless way. I’ll guide you every step of the way. Showing you simple posing tips and natural movements so you never have to worry about what to do with your hands or how to stand. You’ll be surprised by how relaxed and fun it feels.
Most couples book their session about 8–10 months before the wedding, especially if they’d like to use the images for save-the-dates, invitations, or their wedding website.
How to book your session: Once you start thinking about your engagement session, send me an email and I’ll share a short questionnaire to help us plan something that truly reflects your personalities and story.
Sample 8-Hour Photography Timeline
(Based on a single-location wedding with a first look)
12:00 PM – Photographer Arrives / Getting Ready
Coverage begins with detail shots (dress, suit, rings, invites, florals) and candid prep moments.
This time is great for capturing the natural excitement and anticipation — hair & makeup finishing touches, laughter with your crew, and a few relaxed portraits before getting dressed.
1:30 PM – Getting Dressed & Individual Portraits
Final touches — getting into the dress, buttoning up the suit, helping each other with jewelry, etc.
After that, we’ll take a few solo portraits and photos with each side of the wedding party before heading into the first look.
2:15 PM – First Look & Couple Portraits
A private, emotional moment between you two before the day officially begins.
After the first look, we’ll take some portraits together — natural, candid, and full of genuine connection — along with any wedding party photos if time allows.
3:30 PM – Wedding Party & Family Photos
Some couples want to capture the full wedding party together and any immediate family groupings before guests arrive. (I recommend saving the wedding party and family photos for after the ceremony to keep things stress-free before the ceremony)
4:30 PM – Ceremony
The moment you’ve been waiting for.
Whether it’s an outdoor garden, vineyard, or cozy indoor setting, this is all about storytelling — real reactions, laughter, tears, and those unforgettable “just married” moments.
5:00 PM – Cocktail Hour / Candid Moments
Now’s the time for genuine emotion and connection — hugs, laughter, clinking glasses, and guests mingling.
If we didn’t do all family photos earlier, we’ll finish any remaining groupings here.
6:00 PM – Reception Begins
Introductions, dinner, speeches, and toasts.
I’ll focus on candid storytelling while capturing the key events and the atmosphere of the evening.
7:45 PM – Sunset Photos / Golden Hour Portraits
If light and timing allow, we’ll sneak out for 10–15 minutes during golden hour for soft, dreamy portraits.
This is usually a couple’s favourite part of the day — a quiet moment to soak everything in together.
8:15 PM – Dancing & Evening Coverage
First dances, parent dances, and open dance floor!
We’ll capture the energy, movement, and joy of the celebration before wrapping up coverage around 8 PM–8:30 PM (depending on start time).
This is just to give you an idea of the flow, but it can be changed to fit your specific day and situation 😊
